Lower Manhattan is a vertical landscape

where people and the built environment are inextricably linked

One lends coherence to the other

Both amidst a state of constant transformation and in need of the other to thrive

Construction, maintenance, and deconstruction of oneself and infrastructure occur simultaneously

And form the quantum makeup of the Everyday

The photograph welds

person and place,

light and form,

micro and macro,

internal and external,

into a singular whole.

Disparate moments cohere into one Eternal Now

If the journey is the destination,

I’ll smell every flower.
